My sister Hazel suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in Oct 2016 which affected her cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance and coordination. Hazel underwent about 2 years of intense rehab at a long-term rehab facility, where Sunil was one of her primary PTs for a few months. Inevitably, we had to discontinue rehab due to the end of insurance coverage.  We kept in touch with Sunil after long-term rehab and one day he offered to work with Hazel. While some people have told us nothing more can be done after rehab and that we should accept things the way they were, Sunil was ever encouraging, telling us that she had the potential to walk again on her own. When he came and worked with Hazel, within a few hours, he was walking with her slowly and strategically down the hall without walking aids! It was emotional and amazing to see! Sunil is someone who has the knowledge and the ability to work with patients with unbelievable results. What he is able to do, and what he sees is possible, gives patients and their families hope in something they never thought was possible!
